^^ Doug. Not sure if you wanna go this far with the car. But some owners have upgraded to AP2 bumpers due to the larger openings for the exhaust tips.
No, AP2 rear bumpers are ugly.

The black area on the lower AP1's bumper is a very attractive detail, sort of the added look of a difuser.

Thanks for the suggestion though....

I'll be avoiding oval tips for when I choose the exhaust for my turbo at all costs. Too much aggravation getting things to fit with a bumper that wasn't meant for them.
I'm more than happy to deal with the challenge, because I just LOVE my big oval tips!!!

My dream is to retain the stock round exhaust tips and maintain the sleeper look. So far, the only exhaust I've seen that comes close to fitting the bill is from Ultimate Racing. I'd really like to hear what it sounds like with a GReddy kit before pulling the trigger on one though. Oh... I'd also scuff up the shiny silencers and hit them with high temp black paint. Stock S2000's don't have shiny mufflers.

Have you seen the regular round tips on the Spugen? That is virtually 100% stock looking. Spugen also has a stainless steel upgrade option, which is what I did, and of course, the Magnaflows have a totally awesome sound on an S2000.

BTW- That's why mine is off to be powdercoated, the only chrome I want are the two tips as I too hate those shiny cans.

Nope... have a pic of it? I can't seem to get to the Spugen site right now.

The other thing I love about Spugen, the whole thing bolts together, it's not the kind that slips together and then gets tightened up with a bunch of U-bolt exhaust clamps, which can be a pain in the but to get the pieces slid together just right so the system hangs right.

When I put mine on I just put all 3 pieces on the car with the nuts fionger tight, then started up front and worked my way back torqueing things down, and presto, perfect hang.

Not too bad. I might still like the Ultimate Racing offering better due to the availability of a 3" setup. Then again, with the GReddy kit's reported overboosting problems, that might not be the best choice either...
