I asked my ins co if I took my car to NHIS would it be covered. They said no. Works for me my car will stay in the parking lot. Although a rider can be purchased for track activities.
Yup if you phrased it like that I'm sure they said No you are not covered. There is no training for driving a race car, timing, or competition, those are the questions Liberty Mutual asked me.

And as far as the lease forbidding it, my selling dealer did track inspections for me and it was never a secret. I will try and read thru my lease copy next time I have a spare minute but if I wreck the car and Honda gets their money from my insurance company why do they care if someone hits me on the interstate or on track? Or if I go off the road on a patch of ice into a tree or into a wall?

I feel alot safer on track or at S drives than regular daily driving... I have alot more faith in the driving ability of most of the people in those 2 groups than I do other people on the interstate who are talking on their cell phones, trying to control their kids, drinking coffee, eating breakfast, shaving, putting on makeup, etc etc. When I'm on track at least everyone there is concentrating on driving to the best of their ability.

Lease agreement states:

I can not use my car as a taxi
I can't let anyone w/o a license drive it
I can not do anything that voids the warranty (does HONDA say you can't do track days?)
I can not pull trailers that exceed the towing recommendation
I can't move and take the car outside the contiguous 48 states w/o Honda saying it's OK in writing
I can not "change, mark, or install equipment w/o Lessor's written consent"
(although I can't see them NOT wanting the OEM car alarm if it goes back to them)

Gee I'm shocked "No track days" isn't in there anywhere

Guess I will have to keep doing them! And yes I will feel alot more confident next time I am on track

My S has not been washed since last weekend's school, and Sunday was the 1st time I drove it as I had to get it back to a street setup. And, as it was raining on Sunday, and I have a board meeting in Watkins Glen tonight, I decided to not only not wash it, but to leave the hardtop on it so I can drive it to the meeting tonight, about a 3-hour round trip. It's going to rain sometime today for sure, I'm just not sure when...

I really, really must design and make a lift this year so I can get the silly thing on and off myself!
