I do have a somewhat related question though: I have alot of fine scratches in the plastic that covers the electronic readouts making it very hard to read with lights on in the sun (group drives).

Is there a way to get rid of the scratches I have or at the very least prevent it from getting any worse? I try to lightly dust that area with a soft clean cloth after every drive but that does not seem to have helped

I need some SPF 40 for my skin Do you suppose I could spray on 303 before I detail the car next time?

Anyway, I am happy to have the car looking so good again. I need to get q-tips for a few hard to reach areas still but most everywhere that shows looks good!

Push and hold your dimmer increase button with the lights on and the gauge will return to the same brightness as it is when the lights are off.

THAT would be awesome! I will give it a try later today; hopefully the rain stops and I can go vacuum the car, which means moving it, which means I have to drive it around for awhile so it's up to temp... nothing is ever easy

I'm afraid that even if I spend an hour washing the car today it's going to be covered with bugs again by the time I drive the 150 miles to Bill's and I will STILL get crap

It's amazing the amount of people who do not realize this. With an AP2 the brightness even stays when you turn the lights off and back on. With the AP1 you have to turn the brightness back up each time the lights go on and off.
