Yeah, if you want their address, PM me since they have moved to a new location in Westport.

They have based their operations out of my living room this season so just make the checks out to me. I will make sure the money goes where it should, honest!
Nice try, but I don't think so.

Anyway I still hate paying taxes to begin and get super pissed when I see politicians tax and spend their way through their terms. Only to find out it mostly funds social programs that I dont see any worth in.

End of Story. Hope you guys get a chance to take your S out this weekend. Looks like its getting chilly out there.

While I agree that some of what our taxes go to fund is hardly proper use of the money I work hard for, I don't believe that the numerous social/welfare programs funded by my taxes are a waste.

I have a coworker, about to be laid off. His daughter has Rhett's syndrome and he has a 3rd child on the way (wife is due next week). It's not his fault he won't have a job and there was no way of knowing lay-offs were coming 9 months ago. Should he be forced out on the street with his 3 daughters because of nothing he could have changed?

Do I believe he's lazy and won't do his damndest to get back into the job force? Not hardly. He's a proud man, he served this country for 10 years in the Navy, he deserves better than to be on the street because he got laid off and medical bills were piling up.

Do social programs fund families of irresponsible parents? Sure. But the majority are just families down on their luck, looking for assistance to get back on their feet.

The true strength of a Country is defined by how it cares for the lowest levels of it's society.

LOL...

Well, the phone interview went well (I guess they felt better about my performance during the interview than I did ) so I'll find out monday from HR when they're going to fly me out for the in-person interview. Should be mid-late next week or early the week after. I'll be there in Beverly/Danvers for a few days and then fly back here.

One of the guys from here that's moving to the factory is heading up for Dec 3. So I might be heading that way around the same time. We'll see how it goes when I get to Beverly.

Not one person in this thread has said they don't think someone down on their luck should get a helping hand as some of our more liberal members would have us believe.

What I am against is helping out the career welfare recipients and taxing people a butt load more just because they have succeeded in life the best they could. And I am definitely against stupidity like using my hard earned tax dollars to buy "overdose safety kits" for the POS junkies. Let that crap come from donations from all the bleeding hearts. Let all the liberals speak with THEIR wallets instead of mine.

Hey, I'm all for a flat tax. Let everyone give according to what he/she can afford to give.

And, I am not anti-tax either. there are things we need to pay for. Just don't over do it is all I'm saying.
