Same question for you.

I bought the cheap 2 1/4 ton Craftsman jack that came with 2 jack stands. Total price was about $40 and it's worked great
Basically what I have, mine is 3 ton but then again mine is some 16-years old.

I always, and only jack from the front and rear center. The front jack point is just so far back under the car that it is a problem with so many jacks. It would be great if you could check because I so want to upgrade my 16-year old jack...

I drive up on a block, then I have no problem getting the craftsman at the front center point.

Go to home depot. In the lumber section, tbhey have scrap pieces of pressure treated 2x6. I made a two step ramp out of two lengths of scrap screwed together. One for each side. Total cost, about $5.

If someone wants my set, come get it.

I have that same low-pro craftsman...no problems getting it under the sides, Doug. Didn't jack from the front/rear though...

Trust me, I know all about that, I'm a trailer guy remember...

My old Craftsman jack takes 1-million pumps to lift the car which is a pain, but I don't need the wood ramps for more height. The biggest problem with the wood ramps which I have 3 sets of is that the concrete floor at Watkins glen is so darn smooth its a total pain to get the car actually up on the wood, usually I just end up pushing the silly things around on the floor.

I'm just hoping to find a jack that will go far enough under the car and still be able to jack without using wood blocks, what can I say, I want it all.

Yup, that's a big part of the challenge, for me I have to jack from front and rear...

Bring them with you next time you're over. I'm pretty sure I'll need them to put a lowered car or two up in the air in the future.
