Seal leak out of Diff!
Ok I got the diff with the 4.77's in it a couple years ago and I just jacked it up looked at the jack after I put it down and it had a little oil on it.
So I crawled under it and looked. Seems like the very bottom might be loosing its seal! I sprayed it off with carb cleaner and going to run it back and forth to work tomorrow and check it out after.
Is this something I need to tear down and re-seal it or can I put a bunch of silicone sealer on it and see what happens?
Let me know your thoughts from the experts.

And as a coincidence or not there is a metallic rubbing sound that I hear as the wheel turns. It's not constant so seemed like it was a warped rotor rubbing only sometimes but it's metal rubbing. Never heard that before.
Jacked the car up and spun the tires and no sound like that but can feel the rotors dragging in some spots and not in others as the wheel spins.
SCOTT: I might have to come up to see you!!!! I am going to drain and re-fill my diff to see how much is left in there and see if the noise goes away after I do that. Let me know what you think reading the above.

It would only take a few hours to do it right . I don't think the silicone will stick well to the casing .It likes to be squeezed between something ,it doesn't stick well to oily surfaces. The proper way would be to remove it open the case and use either Ultra flange from Honda or high temp RTV. Then you could also inspect the noise if you haven't found it yet.
