Tom,
If you are really really really bored, you can come over my place now and help Derrick swap out an exhaust on a friends S2000...he and his friend should be here in about 15 mins.

Jim et al,

If we can get together relatively early on Saturday we can take a look at the car and perform some other minor service work and then caravan down to the party at Francis's house. Should we bring food and drinks in addition to the yankee swap gift?

On the rear differential my experience is that they break in relatively quickly compared to the engine and that having metal contaminated fluid in there is generally bad. If something is bent under there we will find it but I still suspect the diff. If its anything like the problems Jeep is having they may all be bad.

For the whos at who, I work for an environmental engineering company (MJ Bradley) with my focus being on clean engine and emission control technologies for light and heavy-duty vehicles as well as emission controls for electric power plants. I am a mechanical engineer (thermo, nuclear, fluids) from WPI. I started collecting and restoring cars in 1984 and have collected and accumulated tools since then. I worked as a mechanic for a short time in high school but most of my experience is on the engineering design side.

Just gifts will do, I'll take care of the food - though I am not serving alcohol...

Pinky: The fronts are too worn on the insides for safe autocrossing - however the rears are ok for autocrossing.

the JDM BBS only come in 16". THe 17" Modulos are heavier - your are better off with the OZ Superleggaras if you want a 17" that is light.
