Default So my top was slashed...

So I woke up this morning and went out to the car with the intention of going to work when I saw that my top was slashed in 3 different places. They were large slashes from driver to passenger side. There was no other damage except for the center support beam is bent. The only thing that was stolen was my $10 pair of sunglasses. They didn't touch my deck or ipod? The police told me that I was the 6th person to have their top slashed last night. This really sucks though. Now I have to try to fix it until the new top can be installed. Has anyone else had this happen? My day has definitely been ruined

Is duct tape my only option?

Sorry to hear about the top.

Tape alone will not hold up. I used fabric tape and then stitched the sides together. Worked for a while, at least enough to keep the rain/wind out. I actually found some vinyl flexible glue at West Marine that worked well. They only had white vinyl, so I had to find that online.

Seriously! I do think the cop was more upset than I was. He was absolutely furious and mentioned the same thing about an upholstery shop.
