Time for changes here?

I'm here and visit the site often in the evenings. Just haven't seen much to comment on. I've settled into the new job nicely and am now able to better manage my time off. Hopefully the condo will sell in the near future and open up some play money. The house is not reaaaaaly done but livable and now just working on it as I find motivation.
This group does have some solid members though they are dwindling - many have simply moved on from the forum or just from the "sporty 2 seat car" life. These solid members don't need "help" organizing.
I've noticed quite a shift towards many newer members in the past year, though it seems when meets happen there are few takers. Not sure of the direction this new group will take yet. There have been quite a few threads for meets this past season, even from newer members, but they've seemed to flop. I'm sure there are many reasons - likely the higher gas prices and the more time people have to put into their jobs in this failing economy are making it difficult and play a large part. I know this year I have thought twice about traveling to a meet knowing it'll be a $50+ day before food. (can't wait to sell my condo)
I'd like to revisit the Brewery drive idea this coming season - I'm sure JSWhaler can give some insight as he started planning this before the accident. Also, a S2Ki snowboard/ski meet is in order this winter though that revisits the cost issue again.
Not sure where Fitz has been... Dibi def makes a good regional choice being in MA - Scott being north and me being south though I'm sure no one truly cares what position in the forum they hold. Participation is what we need.
Ryan, glad the job and house situation is moving along.I think a lot of folks stop by here, but some may be reluctant to post or start a thread. That should not be the case. Jump in folks!
Scott has mentioned giving up his crown
perhaps we can talk/"nominate" Kenta into taking the north section. He is active in the north and will make a trip to other areas to participate as well. I hope you have more time to spare. I think CO's who have the time are an important aspect of getting things moving again. IF the board becomes more lively, folks will stop by more often, participate in threads and perhaps be more willing to show up at a meet, or even plan a meet.
I'm game for anything as long as it is within reason. I'm new and my name is Vic.
I have been lurking a lot this past year. Now, I have more time now to do more than just lurk due to some changes. My s2000 is a daily driver and will be going through its first winter here. *crossesfingers* Let's get something in before the white stuff starts falling.
Or hell, let's get the daily s2000s out in the snow.
And yes, I have Blizzacks WS70s already on. I'm in Boston, MA.

I believe that, New England, according to some (read: erick) looks something like this:
Everything above this is Canada. Everything below it is likely Mexico.
Anyway, if the current CO's want to continue what they are doing that's fine too. Maybe this is just a good reminder that we need to step things up in NE, not just from a CO perspective, but from an overall forum participation perspective.

Well you would have help. Canada is pretty big too, so I don't think you want that territory. Just tossed your name out there in the event that changes are made. While we do need member participation, we also need CO's who are interested and have the time to be here. I realize some folks have had other obligations, however the forum has been too dead for too long.
If nominated, will you serve?
SURPRISE!!!! I come on here once and while to see what is new. I don't mind at all given up my CO position. I love my Z. I wanted to go on the Mohawk trail with you guys but something came up. I've been working every weekend. I've been to one drive in the spring with the Z club on the kanc and that was really fun. I usually go on the Kanc with an other group but didn't find out about it till last min. I mostly go to shows with Grove and two other guys just to hang out with each other. winning in the shows isn't our thing anymore. its just being friends.

Hi there Lainey & Bill.
Seems like back in the day there were lots of small get togethers to get peoples interest up...if people could do those...for however many could get together, then I think interest may return.
The bigger meets like Mohawk and Fall Crawl are extensions of the smaller get togethers.
Good luck New England.
