Windshield replacement
i just got my windsheild replaced recently and they put in a aftermarket one in and it looks just fine. cool kid came too and let me hang out and watch him. i went thru my ins company and they paid for it. wow what a huge difference. in Ma if theres no crack bigger then a dollar bill they won't replace it. thamkfully a truck on 495 threw a big enough rock at it that it cracked.
Had ours replaced last year. A HUGE rock got it...good thing as it was very pitted.
Not sure if they used OEM glass or not. The rubber gasket or whatever you call it, around the outside is not perfect, the guy offered to re-do it, but Rick didn't want to bother.
It IS nice being able to see out of the windshield in the sunlight.

I have been wanting to try out one of those kits that work with the PC to polish out the pits. Supposedly they work great.
Lainey, if you tint the front windshield, you can;t notice the pits anymore. I can hook you up with my guy.

got mine replaced last year also what a freakin nightmare, long story short put in 4 windshields and the last one isnt perfect either but after scratching and having to paint my fenders i think they were glad to see me leave. FTR what is in there now is pilkington and its a piece of shit! Soft and pits real easy. OEM honda is also soft PPG is the better of the three although OEM honda is supposedly manufactured by PPG
Got mine done at a body shop locally and I worked out the purchase of the glass itself through my insurance company so I could be sure I got an OEM Honda window, complete with Honda sticker molded into the glass.
Be sure to make sure all the seals around the glass are replaced, lots of shops will not take the time to get the Honda OEM replacement seals, and as far as I was concerned, I was not taking a chance on a leak.

nope unless you pay extra for oem then you'll get aftermarket which is no big deal as they are all the same
My dealer discount price allowed me to get OEM for less than the PPG replacement, thus my insurance company was more than happy to let me buy the glass, and then reimburse me.
