I have noticed that if you drive on the highway a lot, the windshield gets pocked and pitted. to me that means it's time to replace it (although I am interested in the polishing method). After replacement and subsequent years of highway driving, I am sure it will be pitted again which to me means it is consumable.
Oh, I get it. Ok, I hear ya and agree they get all pitted up, however I have never in all my life replaced a winshield until the S2000, and that had to get done because it was broken all to hell.

My CRX-SiR just rolled over to 105,000 miles last night coming home from Watkins Glen, that windshield is downright NASTY because of all the use it has been through, but still, thinking of replacing it has not really crossed my mind just because of the pitting; now if it were broken, no questions asked.

So, I have full glass coverage, I don't think I can just get a new window for free just because I want one. Do you pay for these changes or do you just throw a rock at your car and then call the insurance company?

I have heard that in mass you can get a windshield replaced for excessive pitting without having to break it

I have been wanting to try out one of those kits that work with the PC to polish out the pits. Supposedly they work great.

Lainey, if you tint the front windshield, you can;t notice the pits anymore. I can hook you up with my guy.
how much does your guy charge for front windshield...very tempting...but not sure how soon i would get pulled over with it what percentage on the front?

I have no clues about CT laws and stuff, but I can share this with ya, in NYS, the stickers are very clever, if you try to peal them off during the peal process the word VOID shows up right across the center of the sticker.

My body shop just issued another sticker and out the brand new on on once the window is in. Also, in NY we have 2-stickers on the glass, one is annual inspection, the other is registration.
