what is the difference between the OEM glass and PPG glass?
I'll find out - Best friend is a glass guy. He has told me many times there IS a difference between OEM glass and aftermarket. He does mostly flat glass, got out of the auto glass world. I had a great hookup there.

Doug, be sure to find out what brand of gasoline they put in the tank at the factory and be sure to fill it with that only. You wouldn't want anything different in there.

see bass i asked my ins company about replacing my windsheild before it got it by my hammer--i mean that truck on 495 , and they said they wouldn't do it unless it has a crack in it. I told them it was pitted pretty bad and that it had a few rock chips in it. they still said no.

Wouldn't it be something if they put 87 octane in at the factory!

Does not apply, gas is a consumable, windshields are not supposed to be...

I have noticed that if you drive on the highway a lot, the windshield gets pocked and pitted. to me that means it's time to replace it (although I am interested in the polishing method). After replacement and subsequent years of highway driving, I am sure it will be pitted again which to me means it is consumable.
