Wow. That thing is bare. Are you keeping the carpet out too? Your wife is gunna love the ride down to the dragon this year. Lol. I thought you could still use the center console even though most everything else is gone. I'm pretty sure I have seen set ups that way. Btw I like the look of a car in the raw. Can't wait for the roll bar install.

I will be doing the same thing in the near future but I'm keeping the carpet and will be working on some sore of custom interior set up for the area behind the seats.
You can save some of those resistors for me!

Carpets are staying out and most of if not all of the trim! Oh yeah, I fully expect to get an ear full from her... I can see her asking to ride with Mike and Callie in Super Duty Comfort!

Believe it or not between the carpet and the trim I plan on leaving out was 26ish lbs!

I'll set a few resistors a side for you and Mike fir sure!

Oh and yes I could still use the center console with a stripped interior, but I like the thought of just having the shifter and the E-brake there nothing else... I may ended up having to put the e-flasher back in that area but haven't looked to see if I can relocate it yet.

I see a gutting of the soft top and a new hard top in your future Sheds another 40+ lbs with the use of the hard top, sheds 80+lbs without use of hardtop.

btw -you would be suprised how much the A/C and Heating system weight

Don't put a hardtop on the car. It spoils the very reason for driving this car. Hardtops are for wusses.

I have to laugh at that. I know of quite a few people in this forum that would be highly offended by that remark. But I know you are just poking fun

For the record, I like the look of HT but i just like the convience of the softtop more. (for now at least)

I'd trade my soft top for a hard top in a second! I do like top down drives but love the HT look slightly more... HT might be next winter's goal.

Take a look at the COMSCC rule book if you're planning on running their time trails. Removing carpet and interior trim bumps you right into PC, a class designed for all out 4 cylinder NA race cars. Fortunately, you'll have a leg up in power on most of the other cars in the class.

If you want any suggestions on setup, safety equipment or want more info on track days and TT just ask. My brother and I have been running our S2000 with COM for the past two years. Probably one of the best track cars we've ever owned.
