^ Thanks East, right now I am not looking to build the car to fit any specific group, I more am looking to be able to get out on a track on a HPDE to start and I am sure once the bug has bitten I will be tweaking the car to make it fit into a more appropriate class.

I like hard tops, and I'd consider getting one for the winter season, but I'd never get rid of the soft top. I just never understood the decision to go hard top year-round. I'm not going to bash it... to each their own... but 4 years after buying the S2000, I still can't get enough top-down driving. It's a big part of the enjoyment, and having a working top means I don't need to worry about driving it when the weather says "20% chance of rain" like it does every single day in the spring/summer.

Maybe it's 'cause I have an all-black interior AP1, but I always figured the interior was pretty minimalist, which is how I like it. I wouldn't want to get rid of any sound dampening, either, given how little there currently is...

But again, to each his own - I like seeing what other people do!

If you buy a gallon of sound deadening (quietcar) it'll save you weight coz it only weighs 8 lbs dry. It has the same effect as having your oem carpet. One gallon will cover 3 or 4 coats for the entire trunk and both floor boards.

Been tinkering for the past few weeks...

1. Rewired the trunk switch, picked up a micro switch and mounted it with the gas door release handle...
2. Finished cleaning up the stock seat belt SRS wiring (yellow wire in the cockpit pic at the beginning) it now lives in the center console nice and neat plus resetting the SRS system...
3. Got my new driver side seat rail in, Seat is now a 1/4" off the floor and WAY back, I think almost a 1/2" more then stock, it is also over a pound lighter then the Bride rail it is replacing. Waiting for the passenger side rail, supposedly delivered today but is no where to be found
4. Got my grip tape installed on the driver's side floor board, going to work on the pedals next...
5. Console is cut out of fiber board, picking it up next weekend for fitting and wrapping...
6. Took a ride to HMS Motorsports the evening and picked up my Schroth harnesses and hardware... going to start tinkering to mount the lap and 6pt this weekend...

I keep telling myself buying parts and working on the car won't make Spring come any faster, but my wife says I am a poor listener...

Got a bit done over the last couple of weeks... Pretty much have reached the end of what I can do in the interior until the Roll bar install. I will be starting on the air pump removal and brake ducting shortly...

1. Both seats have been fitted to the car finally...taken back out, put back in, taken back out, put back in,....

2. Painted my shift extension to match the stock shifter body and the Auger Delrin knob that has been sitting in my toolbox for months and months...

3. Floor and pedals have had some grip tape added to them

4. Schroth 6th point and lap belts installed (wicked PITA)

5. Console cut out and wrapped. Very simple but will work well with the semi-gutted interior and I like the look! Still need to find the right hardware to mount it, got some ideas though...
