Hey was up guys im new in el paso and i drove my s2k from florida for some reason the place i bought my car didnt tell me something was going on with my 3rd gear the past week its been grinding bad or it spits it out most o the time wont even get 3rd and now 4th in starting to grind also i when to the honda dealer they said that it could be the fluid that was replaced with motor oil or something i need Help Asap because my wife needs the car while i leave to afghan and i dont wanna leave it like that does anyone know wht could it be and also a good shop or place to go check it or get it fix honda whants 2 charge 200 just to check and a 100 fro bringing it in so please lmk a good spot thanks

sounds like bad syncros. Being that it is only those gears, I doubt it's the clutch. Can you rev match into gear without grinding?

 

Maybe a long shot but maybe changing the tranny fluid and regressing the turret could help aid it, it's cheap and no more than a few hours of work.

Judging by your screen name, I'm guessing you are in the Army and just got stationed there? if I am right, take it to the Auto Hobby Shop/Auto Skills Center (whatever the army calls it, I'm AF) they should be able to help you out.
