Can I borrow a OBD2 scanner?

I have a CEL (https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=690905) and would like to pull the code.

If anyone has a scanner, I would really appreciate borrowing it.

go to auto zone. they pull codes for free.

I didn't want to drive the car since the CEL is flashing. It is my understanding, from the UTH section, is that a continuous CEL is OK to drive but flashing CEL should be shut down immediately.

Your opinion is it is OK to drive?
