and the MKV-MkVI GTI has pretty good reliability. I know many non-modded high mileage GTIs. Also Volkswagen includes free maintenance 3 years/36k. Also i bought the $500 wheel & tire insurance. WELL WORTH it on low profile tires like the GTI's, especially with my driving in the city. In 10 months i already have had 3 tires and 2 rims replaced. Covered curb damage too.

Just buy an evo like me . Id go with a mkv or mkiv gti like said above, really nice cars, not crazy money and fun for a dd. I had a mkiv, these 2 are much nicer my .02
