Thumbs up GREDDY PROFEC B II Question

I kinda asked this on the F/I section but I want to ask the most knowledgeable turbo guys around the NY METRO turbo guys

Ok so I have a MBC and it does'nt hold boost that well and if I want to set it to 12PSI I have to deal with spiking to 14psi which causes fuel cut-offs/timing retarding etc, so I have to set it to like 10 to spike to 12 and then it falls to 10, kind of annoying

anyway it seems with the EBC I can set it so it opens the wastegate at (theoretical) 8psi even though my desired is 12psi. So it seems like it will spike less because it doesnt have to wait until 12psi to open, which by then it is too late it is already spiking

So I can set it to start to open slightly earlier than my desired, it also will do a better job og holding boost, this sound right to you guys?

I am planning on going with Greddy Profec II boost controller

You have the idea in that it'll be trial and error, especially in an internally wastegated setup. You may have to do odd things like set it lower than your desired boost. Keep us updated on how it works out.

Ok so the Greddy Profec Speb B II EBC is at my house, I have a pretty good understanding on how to install and configure, but I have one more question.

I will run 12PSI So to prevent SPIKING I will set up my "SET-GAIN" to open some where between 10-11PSI, laslty the "GAIN" will be adjusted to measure BOOST consistency???????

1)I dont understand, if it spikes/or spools to slowly then I have to lower my SET GAIN right? I dont undertstand what they mean by GAIN & BOOST consistency, is that the BOOST it hold till redline?

2) If my Boost falls off or creep I have to INCREASE the GAIN, value, well it says by doing that I will INCREASE the BOOST, so do I then have to go back and change the SET boost?

Also I didnt know you could see PSI, pretty nice
