I'd buy hoosiers that are faster around a track anyway for half the price!!!
My r-comp of choice is toyo r888 since they're entry level r comps and much cheaper. Definitely not on the same level though..

Don't know if they make it in S2000 fitments but the Lotus folks have been replacing their A048s with Toyo R888s. It's supposed to be a great track tire.

Toyo r888 come in all s2000 fitments.

225/45/16 (non stag for auto -x)
245/45/16
255/40/17
