Yeah. The 6ave on Rt 36 had a pair of Alpines on the clearance table I was considering a few weeks ago. Maybe I should've just pulled the trigger on them. Oh well, at least what I have is fixed.

Go im replacing my speakers soon to even better ones that are in there, There nothing special that are in there but they were polk components from best buy around $150-$160, after I take them out you can have them for cheap if you want like 50 for the components

I'll definitely keep that in mind. Thanks. They're Polk? Do they fit into the factory openings with the OEM grilles?

Yea, Im not gonna say I realized a massive difference but I think if you were to do more down the road add an amp it would be better, speakers are deff better quality, than oem but. No CRAZY speakers. Fit behind the door keeping it nice and OEM for ya

[QUOTE=stitos2k,Jun 9 2009, 09:09 AM] I can vouch that Polk 6501 components fit perfectly in the door, the only thing that's a bit annoying is you need a little know how to mount the tweaters... or apoxy

The stock HU wouldn't even make a good paper weight. If you want it I have a JVC AHD39 you can have. It's just collecting dust in my storage closet, it's already wired with a s2k harness.

If you get the 6501 you really need an aftermarket headunit at minimum. When I have the time and if it ever stops raining I'm adding an amp.

You may not need it but I used some good velcro double stick it to the door and the corssover and that did the trick
