UPDATE 2/27/14

I wanna try and start an annual lake George drive, my goal is to get a bunch of metro peps together and do some spirited driving along the lake and mountain roads, then walk around town then dinner and bar, I also posted this in the upstate section to see if we can hook up with some upstate s2k guys, This years date I choose will be memorial day weekend May 24th to 26th...

Lisa and I just booked our room at the quality in hotel at lake George ( http://www.qualityinn.com/bestrate/l...d-00001e81cb56 ) I work for the state so I received a discount, but if you have AAA (or work for state too) you will get the same discount, anyway the room was $143/night (319 total for 2 nights) We booked it for May 24th (Sat) to may 26th (Mon), My plan is to leave on Saturday (may 24th) morning and head up to the hotel for check in.... What i wanna do is try to do some spirited driving along the mountain side and lake side, then check out what the town has to offer, then hit the bars for some beverages, this hotel is n the middle of town and close to the lake. So far I have these are the people who said they will come, plz hurry and book the room ASAP so we can get this locked in...cant wait its gonna be fun!!!!!

Sounds like fun! I hope you all have a great time.

I won't be able to join in. I have a prior *ahem* engagement that weekend...

...which just happens to be Cornell graduation weekend. Bad timing is all as I'd love to go also.

My toast would be to you Crazy,... "Here's to marriage, where the groom looses his bachelors degree, and the woman gets her masters!"

I'm an hour south of LG. Would like to meet you guys, but the forecast isn't looking great.

And Harleys. Ruin. Everything.

Mark I think Jeff shared some of the roads of the Levi drive with them. If the weather holds up you should join them. That way you'll get to drive those roads twice this season and you will have intelligence on which bridges are washed out (although that has never stopped us in the past)

I spoke to Tony (Mindthegap) about an hour ago. The group is arriving at Lake George tomorrow afternoon and plans to hang in Lake George Saturday afternoon and evening. They will plan a route once they get there. I'm going to try to get down to Lake George Village maybe Saturday evening to join them for dinner if I can convince Nancy.

They'll do the drive on Sunday, so alternatively, maybe Sunday A.M to waive them off. I'm sure Nancy won't want to do a full drive, and I can't leave her alone for the entire day (or entire weekend).

Mark, I'll pm you with Tony's number. They're staying at the Quality Inn, but it may be north of the village towards Bolton's Landing.
