Aashish, to answer your question from the other chat thread...

I will most likely keep the exhaust for now. I want to make sure I really like
the Q300 before I would think about selling it. The other reason I would keep
it is that it seems that stock S2000's sell better than modified ones so if I ever
decided to sell it, I would put the stock exhaust back on.

However, I NEVER see that happening unless it was for financial reasons.

The one problem I'll have is that the stock exhaust will have no tips on it because
I'm putting those on the Invidia.

Back to work, gonna need a scuba outfit to get thru the rain
Not a single drop of rain here today despite it looking like it was going to
monsoon any second. I guess I should have expected that since I took the
beater to work.

I was going to cut the lawn Saturday, but it rained before I got to it. Yesterday I was gone all day. Looks like I'll have to raise the deck a couple of clicks to cut it tomorrow. Then I'll be cutting it every other day until I can get back to the usual setting.
I haven't mowed my lawn in years!

Keeping the stock parts will not only add to the resale but will help you reset the car back as and when (or if) the S becomes a classic.

Im with you on the financial thing as well. Funny how I intend to keep the S but have recently thought of trading in the Si for a Fit or some kind of utilitarian vehicle. Soon enough both JJ and I shot the idea down. Not sure Honda will ever have another Si of the likes of the current one. That K series engine by itself is worth holding on to the car.

Couldn't you buy exhaust tips by themselves? That way you can keep the stock system intact. Maybe someone that is parting out their car has the tips on sale.

same story here. No rain

However I've not driven the S to work all season. Hate to be in here at work worrying about the car parked in a garage a half mile from where I work.
