Hey guys,

I'm a mid-west member needing insight from you locals.

I have a family member who moved to the area recently. I used to do maintenance on their car but with them moving, the only option for them is to use a service shop.

The car is a Toyota Corolla. The dealership they went to are charging insane rates. For example, $150 was paid to replace the air filter which literally takes 30 seconds to do.

Anyway, does anyone know of a private owned service shop in the Long Beach area that does good work? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

You should ask one of the mods to move this to the general section. You will get more hits there. Or you can delete and repost. It's up to you.

Paying for an airfilter change to that magnitude in NY is not unheard of btw.
