Default * MSIE v6 bugs?

I recently updated my browser to v6.0.2800.1106

Since then I have been getting scripting error pop-ups and my browser doesn't want to load content into a new (window) instance.

I've turned off script debugging.

Anyone else had these problems? If so do you have any tips? Is this a MSIE thing?

Switch to Mozilla. IE and bugs go hand in hand. It's a piece just like almost every other piece of software to come out of Redmond.

Muz,

The security settings are more stingent in the latest revision. Potentially hazardous/exploitable code is treated like the plague on any secure settings. In addition, if a control is poorly coded you will received errors. This is very applicable to controls/code that are not specification compliant or outdated.

If you feel there is an actual bug submit an automatic error report if you are using Windows XP. You can also execute a search of the Microsoft Knowledge Base @ http://support.microsoft.com/ If its a known problem, there is probably a solution there.

Thanks guys.

I ended up re-installing the Explorer 6 Service Pack 1.0 upgrade and everything is working normally now.

It appears to be a very common problem so here's the link for anyone who finds themselves with the same problem.

Anyone know why I can't r-click on my IE 6 browser window? It just doesn't work... Weird.

I just use opera when I get annoyed.

In -> Some Cases <- you won't be able to right-click on a window until it finishes rendering. If you have a newer computer that means downloading. Because Internet Explorer is also the shell for the Operating System (OS), if the right-click function was broken you'd be unable to right-click any where. Try right-clicking on the desktop or task bar to verify.

IE6 is a virus in and of itself. Bugs should be expected

Nope I can right click anywhere else, just not on the browser window itself. It's almost as if it's not trapping the r-click event at all.

I can r-click on my desktop the popups appear just fine.
Oddly I can r-click on the toolbar in IE just not the window.

As for the not being done issue, Even if i hit stop still no r-click.

Weird.
