4 day work week vs 5 day -
I work remotely one day a week and it's great not to have to attend meetings or have the constant drive by interruptions. I can do the same amount of work I would normally do in the office in about half the time at home.

my company has the 9/80 schedule so we have every other friday off. they actually saw a cost savings in electricity by not having all the equipment running. going from 8 hr days to 9 wasn't that bad...10 hr days though...i'd probably get bored and loose focus at the end of the day.
i could also care less about whether it saves me money or not...i'm just happy not to go to work and have an extra day off.

The gas savings doesn't enter into the equation for me and realistically there aren't enough hours in the days for me to personally do what I need to do in a 4 day work week. However, I have a few friends that work for the same large corporation and they all have 4 10 hour day schedules...3 days on...2 days off...1 day on...1 day off and they absolutely love it. Breaks up the work week into smaller more managable chunks.
