I really like the MDX. Honda has a winner with this one. The quality is there. It looks great, is very roomy/functional, and as far as SUVs go, offers an excellent mix of very good performance and gas mileage. I also like the Toyota Highlander but for the money (price/performance), IMHO, the MDX is a much better vehicle.

 

My $.02. I wanted an MDX this time last year but my local dealer didn't get his first one till October! I got an 01 QX4 for $1K over invoice versus $500 off MSRP (as a 3 time customer) on the MDX & waited 3 months. Wife couldn't wait & now wishes she did. My boss has a X5, it drives well but for what they cost it's not well made, same experience with numerous Jaguars too. It's safe, handles more like a car than anything out there but is NOT the quality standards of the MDX.

 

It was my belief that Honda was simply going to rebadge the MDX, there has been no information of them building an entirely new Tahoe sized SUV, the MDX is far from Tahoe sized... I don't know.. the only thing I've heard concerning the MDX/Honda Whatever is that it may get a new V8 that is supposedly being developed for the RL Replacement... anyone else have any info about this new Honda SUV?

 

My father in-law has one, black - sweet! It's a really nice SUV and one that I would consider if I wanted a SUV. Real smooth driving, you sit kind of high, but it feels really good. He waited a while to get one, but it was worth it.
