You have to cut out cancer.
Do you think that if we drop the bomb in the Middle East that the pictures will not look as horrific as these? I'm not saying we should be passive, but we need to realize that our possible retaliation will yield results much more greusome than the pictures that 6speed posted.

we should bomb the country of the person that bombed the federal building in oklahoma, and the country of those kids that shot up all the schools.

actions of a few dont constitute the views of an entire country let alone a religion. why must there be a country involved, or a group? couldnt the 12-15 people involved in the hijacking been the entire group? and now they are all dead. if they were connected to another group, dont you think they would have covered their tracks a little better?

america is just looking for someone to blame and bomb like after every terrorist attack. most people in america dont fully understand the situation, america is deeply involved in the middle east. people out there are so ignorant that they are harassing sikhs (indians); pretty much anyone that wears a turban.

McVeigh is also dead. He paid the price, albeit a small one, for his crimes against the US...

And yes, motee23, of course America is looking for someone to blame...would you not try to find out who killed thousands of your friends?

Seems pretty obvious to me...

American nazis are the subject of intense scrutiny by law enforcement. The extreme right wing of this country, for the most part, was horrified by the bombing of the Morrow Building and retreated from the militia "Turner Diaries" world view. Undoubtedly, there are homegrown crazies here in our country.

How do you react to the murder of what may well turn out to be 10-30,000 people in the airliners and towers? Horror? Of course.

But, what we've heard is that there was wide spread jubilation throughout the middle east (except Israel) at the televised pictures of this successful conspiracy to mass murder Americans.

Washington may be talking about war, but there is already a war going on. The Achille Loreau, Khobar Towers, Marine Barracks in Beirut, USS Cole, Pan Am 103 ... there has been a Holy War against us for quite some time.

This is not just the work of a small group. These groups are fungible, they are trained and supported by many governments of the middle east - Aghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria - and countries outside the middle east like Algeria. There is widespread support for these groups in every middle eastern country, including our friends, like Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan.

Worse, it seems that although there are a few proclamations of condolences from some leaders of middle eastern countries, these are, for the most part, public relations garbage to put on a civilized mask to cover the joyful faces of the masses.

If that part of the world is not complicit in the terrorism, then let them all turn against the terrorists in their midsts. They won't, because there is widespread support for the terrorists and what they do.

If the US reacts against a single cell of the many prepared to act next, then we're looking at worse next time around. Either the US declares war on Terrorism, or it puts its tail between its legs and lets these murderers dictate our policies, and kill our neighbors.

Looking for someone to blame? You've got that right. Execution of justice requires someone to blame. By the way, McVeigh is dead.

WHAT KIND OF RELIGION IS THIS MUSLIM ?! TO ACTUALLY GIVE THOSE WHO PRACTICE OR FOLLOW SUCH BELIEVES, HAVING THOUGHTS LIKE "ALLAH, THE SO-CALLED GOD SENT ME WITH HONOR"

i wonder what materials they use to make the korans.

all we are asking for, is for them to "realize" whatever the idea their so-called god is telling to do is wrong, its a matter of how hard the spanking is needed to wake these bastards up ....

I'm just as mad as the next person here, but let's think for a moment before we act. Let's not underestimate our enemies here (yes, enemies). There are an estimated 2.2 billion arabs in the world. Despite their low-tech militaries, they have numerical advantage. Short of nuking a quarter of the planets surface, we are looking at a formidable task. If we launch severe reprisals with no regard for innocent life, you can bet that we'll unite the arabs in a jihad against the west.
I want justice too, even an invasion, but let's not get over-zealous and start WWIII. And let's not forget that Russia tried, unsuccessfully, to hold Afghanistan, and they're in a much better position geologically to do so.

Gentlemen,

As bad as the attack was Tuesday, we are just lucky they didn't use chemical or biological weapons. Heck even nuclear weapons could have been a possibility.

Lets assume it is Bin Laden which it may not be. If that is the case, we must destroy his group completely. There will be acceptable casualities of civilians if necessary to destroy him.

It seems that a lot of people take freedom for granted and thank we should be above destruction of life. Mass destruction of human life from aggressors is why we have personal freedom in the United States. We have a military to protect us and KILL those would pose a threat to our way of life.

We must stop this threat and show that you cannot committ terrrorist acts against the United States without brining on the wrath of all united nations.

If we do not send a strong message now, next time it might be a nuclear bomb that goes off in a plane crashing into an American building.

The only thing I don't understand is why we have allowed Bin Laden to live. Even if he is not responsible for this act, he is be responsible for many other terrorist attacks.

Dean
