Not sure if this is AOL but....
Whenever I close out the board here, 1 out of 5 times my IE opens up a web page to the page I just X'd off of. It continues to open until I shut down my AOL. It dont open up in AOL, but it does open IE up continously. I get litterally 1 page per sec loading (and I'm on dial-up!!).

I ran a virus check and I didnt come up with anything. I updated my virus scanner also today...ran a spyware scan and I am coming up empty. It has happened 7 times so far today and 2 times yesterday. None before that, except once about a month ago.

Any ideas guys/gals?

It seems to be only when I X out a page tht isnt done loading. Not only is it this site but a few other MSG boards. I recently updated to AOL 9.0 too....any ideas on how to stop this?

TIA

it does sound like AOL weirdness, to be honest.

u might have a *branded* browser-- that is, AOL (or some other after-market company) made some minor mods to it for it to do that. perhaps try clearing the History and seeing if it still does it?

have you downloaded SpyBot? u might give that a try.

best suggestion: GET RID OF AOL. That is the hands-down worst ISP in existence. (and I'm a network engineer btw)
