haha, i've had multiple people say that to me...i guess it's a good thing i haven't seen the movie yet. to tell you the truth though, the one time i stayed in a hostel (barcelona last sept) i had an incredible time. met lots of really cool people, and it was fun partying with random people from all over the world.

yep, we stayed for 4 days...i think 3 days is the right amount to spend there. it was also really cold when we went, so maybe that had something to do with it.

From what Ive heard, Amsterdam is now a hole. Weed is not what it used to be there (much harder to get than back in the day).

Weed is actually illegal in the netherlands, just that in Amsterdam, authorities turned the other way.

I was planning on going this may, but am going to Czech Republic instead.

Are you sure weed is illegal in Amsterdam? I don't know about that, and they still sell great shit over there

Well....the legality issue is well explained here...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_po...he_Netherlands

Its basically the weight and use they worry about.

However, DO NOT attempt to bring any back here...you are asking for serious trouble/jail time.

If they see (and they will) that you are coming back from the Netherlands in your passport at the US border (airport), they WILL search you and your bags, and find it.
