this topic has popped up a couple of times....

Right now I have a:

2005 Giant Faith 1 (downhill/freeride bike)

*not my exact bike but close enough*

2002 Giant TCR Aero (road)

*again same idea, except mine has regular road handle bars and seat post*

1965 (I believe) Schwinn Typhoon 3-speed (cruiser)

*actual bike, completely restored*

let me add the other bike in our house (my brothers rigs)

2006 Giant Reign 0

2007 Surly Steamroller fixed gear

2008 Replica Boneshaker 48"

???? super awesome homemade tall bike

Cripes. Sweet TCR Aero.

I've been looking at bikes but haven't pulled the trigger.

Went to look at a used GT RTS full suspension, but I didn't like it enough. It was an older model without disc brakes, tires were shot (one is also lime green and the other is yellow), the swing arm is yellow and pretty banged up, etc.

I'm going to be on trails, but not hardcore downhill stuff. Am I best to get a hardtail and skip the full suspension?

Hardtails have good and bad points, it all depends on how and where you ride. If where your riding isn't too rocky and rough a hardtail works great as it has better pedaling efficiency and you can pick one up cheaper. If you want a softer ride or you plan on riding somewhere more on the rough side, a full suspension bike would be a better bet.

Wait till s2020 sees this. He has only 500000000 bikes.

Since he's Asian they all squeak.

I have two carbon fiber bikes. I love naked carbon fiber

One is a giant XTC comp (my hardtail MB)
One is a specialized roubaix comp (my road bike)

Nice bikes!

I'm actually shopping around for a good trail bike right now. Trying to decide between front or full suspension. My price range is actually the determining factor, I'm trying to stay under 1 grand.
