Neighbor just recently picked up a set of $2,500 wheels for $450 on clearance. Not quite as baller as the wheels you just posted.

I have to say I am definitely hooked on cycling/triathlons now, I have been collecting for a few years. Nothing compared to some of the guys I ride with, they could ride a different bike every day of the month!
Road Bikes:
2004 Trek 2100
2006 Orbea Onix
Mountain Bikes:
2002 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR XC
199x Giant Iguana
Tri/Time trial Bikes:
2004 Elite T-Class
2008 Specialized Transition Expert
Cruiser:
2007 Trek Cruiser Classic
I have easily done around 6000 miles in the past year and am really starting to make strides in my speedwork. Tomorrow's plan: 45 miles before work, half hour-45 minute swim after work.
FYI - Schumacher - no not Michael, Stephan of Team Gerolsteiner won the first time trial of the Tour de France yesterday on the Specialized Transition, he averaged just a tad under 31mph for 18 miles!!!!!!
Ha! I have trouble averaging 14 mph over 20 miles!
But I have a ten year old Trek 820 - about $250 when new, and it's still with the original knobby tires.
It's a great workout though. I've been thinking about picking up a proper road bike (doable at about $500 for decent quality, perhaps?) and going on some of the "races" around here...

I still have my Motobecane 12-speed that I bought new in 1986. I even brought it over from Ireland when I came here, but haven't used it much. Drivers in my area are oblivious anyway, and I don't feel safe on a bike.
These days I mostly use the VR bike at the gym.
