WTF?? In South America you only have to attend Catholic School and take a week worth of classes...or you can get a priest to sign off a document that says that you did attend the classes (so...there are plenty of priests that will sign that document for a few bucks)....amazing huh?

I was born and raised catholic and that is one of the many reasons why I can never understand why it is such a political religion. Confirmation??? Where in the bible does it say you have to be confirmed? Original sin? Where? Ayyayayay...don't get me started otherwise this will get closed....
heh... i'm lutheran (follower of christ as well)... i don't understand the catholic style

So do Gregorians (whoever they are) and they make music CD's instead of brandy and scrolls

1 year and at least a grand of cash before you are saved. Just remember, jesus hates cheap-skates.

On the upside, after this outlay of cash you can do anything you want and just confess as much and instantly it is absolved.

Religion is the best organized crime racket in the world and probably still the best way to control stupid people.
As far as the best organized crime racket, the government would right up there, too. Probably a toss-up. Too close to call.

I have been putting it off and am trying to do this last sacrament. I just didnt want to wait untill Aug/Sept to start classes.
Before someone else corrects you in a rude fashion I will do it as polite as possible.

This (confirmation) is far from the last sacrement (believe it would be "Last Rights") but don't worry, you pretty much can't complete them all.

Now we wait for someone to write how you can complete all sacrements, just to prove my correct statement above wrong (which they can't).

Your statement is not correct.

Though not common, people have received all the Sacraments (there are seven). Priests that leave the priesthood sometimes marry, and individuals that become widowers can become priests; thus some individuals receive all seven.

Last rights (formerly called Extremunction) is now referred to as "anointing of the sick".

My brother wasn't confirmed because the dumbass priest thought he wasn't "mentally ready", probably because he is quiet. My brother has been going to parochial school since a little kid and eventually got a masters in Aerospace from Stanford. After that slap in the face he never went to church again.
