I understand some may like the new M3. But I totally don't like it... I don't know... Maybe if someone gives me one for free, then I may like it..!! huh..

 

SMGII is essentially just as fast as the 6spd manual version. Makes shifts in 80ms (faster than the Ferrari F1 system), auto rev matches on gear changes and can double-down shift. Features full auto mode and 11 different driving modes, plus hill start (but no launch control).

A M3 with SMGII can lap Nurburgring roughly in same time as a 6spd manual give or take a second, both driven by professionals. Sorry, don't have exact times.

As for modding, not sure whatcha mean... the tranny? not much you can do aside from any engine/exhaust/suspension work.
