Most people who have it done love it...
Some people are very sorry they have it done.
Problems usually arise from:
1. You were not a good candidate, but he doctor rung the cash register anyway.
2. Mistakes where made
3. You where just particularly unlucky.

DO IT!!!!
I had it done a year and one half ago and would pay $10,000 PER EYE if I had it to do again..... It is worth that much to me.
It is important to know that I didn't hate my glasses. My girlfriend told me she had it done so I went and had it done becuase of what she said about it.
