anyone here weare glasses? 2 weeks of torture!
My wife and I got lasik almost two years ago. She now has to wear glasses in low light conditions. I get what I guess are called halos occasionally when I am really tired. My vision is generally no better or worse than when I wore contacts.
If I had to do it all over again, I don't think I would. I didn't mind "dealing with" contacts. It was just kind of "me too" when my wife told me about hers, I didn't really put much thought into it. I'm not really sure the benefits outweigh the risks. Would you get elective tooth surgery to make it so you don't have to brush your teeth anymore, if the risk was you might lose some or all of your teeth, and you will most likely have to brush them again in the future? Hmm...
In any case, pay for it with a medical savings account thingy so you can save the income tax on that money.
