I want to remove my tattoos. ANyone have any insights, info, anything iat that would be helpful is appreciated. If you could even recommend a doctor that would be even better, the closer to VA the better. Thanks in advance.

Sorry, no help here (I'm too far from VA anyway), but just out of curiosity, is this a colored tattoo or a black-and-white tattoo? Hopefully black-and-white, 'cause the colored ones are a bitch to remove. If it's a colored one, then definitely get a specific recommendation from someone who has gotten one removed before. Good luck...

It's black. I been researching and yeah, black ones are easier to remove. I just dont want to get ripped off and don't want to go through the run arounds and stuff by calling up every single doctor in the area.

You can use a laser to remove tatoo. That was my research in college.
I'd go to a local dermatologist.

Sorry I can't help in this specific instance.

However, I've had the need for second opionions on a couple of medical issues. I've always found that a good teaching/research hospital is an excellent resource. You could try Johns Hopkins for a referral or they may even have a program/protocal for tatto removal.

It was my understanding this is the best way to go, but can be expensive, although I haven't looked to deeply into this, since I want to keep all mine!
I wonder if any local tattoo shops might have some suggestions (since people likely come in and want to look at options to cover up/redesign other tattoos)? Unfortunately, I have no recommendations for you, since I'm much too far away!
Best of luck!

Would TenBlade2001 be able to help? He's in the VA area, I think.
