Anyone see a trend with younger siblings settling

I've noticed everyone is settling down before me.

There again, I smell funny, like to eat durian and pick my scabs.

my sister is 28(9 years older than me) and a lesbian, though had 3 children before she turned. Now she has been seeing the same girl for about a year, maybe longer, though in Kentucky it's still illegal for 2 girls to marry.

My brother is 24(5 years older than me) and has been dating the same girl for about 3-4 years, though I don't really see him proposing to her any time soon.

As for myself, I've only been in a relationship for about 5 months, though I just got out of an engagement(thank god) I also think I'm too young to get married right now. Though if I'm still with her in a few years maybe

So yesterday I found out that I'm going to be an Uncle. Pretty cool no doubt, but my brother and his wife are 4 years younger than me (22). I am still single (and loving it though I do have a g/f).

I have also seen this same thing with 2 other friends of mine. both of their younger siblings are aleady married and are pregnant and both the older siblings are still single and taking their time with the whole settling down deal.

So anyone else seeing this?

My guess is that the younger ones "grow up" quicker than the older ones b/c they have us to look up to when they were growing up. I know my brother did learn what not to do by seeing what I did (life situations, finances, etc).
Maybe your brother felt like this is where he can lead and for you to learn lessons from.

Lesson = Don't get married so young.

I guess we'll see. They are happy and such but I can't even see myself married right now. I have too much career shit going on right now (so that my future is set) to worry about getting hitched and settling down.

getting married right out of college seems to be a trend lately. So lame. You haven't even had a chance to go live your life a little, and you hook on the extra baggage.
