anyone still have a mouse with a ball?
Those little balls can be rough on thumbs. I use a Kensington Expert Mouse (actually a trackball) at home. I like the spin-ring but the ball motion is so-so since they went away from metal rollers . I had an older one that I miss since it died.
Even if you don't game, I would recommend just picking up a Logitech G5 Laser Gaming Mouse. You get to skip the LED mouse generation and go straight to the laser. It has huge teflon feet for easy gliding, a high quality cable, is comfy, adjustable weight/ballast for a good feel, and it's not expensive. Best Buy had them on sale for arond 30 bucks last time I checked.

I have a track ball, won't go back to a regular mouse.

Any logitech optical will be fine. You don't need to get one from the G series, those are made for gaming. You can save $$ and get a less expensive model like the LX3 unless you really want the extra buttons and 2000dpi lazer

I use a wireless logitec MX laser mouse.
It works great and holds a charge for a few weeks with alot of use.
If you move your mouse too much increase your sensitivity settings in windows. On every PC I work on I turn the mouse sensitivity all the way up so small movements let me work the entire screen. It only takes a day to get used to the change.
