I had wasabi today at Sushi of Naples. I like to mix a big glob of it in with a little tray of soy sauce and mix it up in a bowl of steamed rice. I always manage to get a couple of chopstick loads that just blow right through my nose. Yeah!

According to my daughter the original purpose of wasabi was to kill any germs in raw fish, making it edible. A tasty disinfectant, if you will.
