The Beatles are overrated.
Those are from the chorus of the songs. Of course they're not very deep on their own. It's like saying Bob Marley is shallow because of "simple hook repetitive stuff" like:
"No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry
No, woman, no cry"
and
"We're Jammin' (jammin', jammin', jammin'), yeah-eah-eah!
I wanna jam it wid you.
We're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin',
We're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin', we're jammin';
Hope you like jammin', too.
We're jammin', we're jammin' (jammin'),
We're jammin', we're jammin' (jammin').
I wanna (I wanna jam it wid you) - I wanna -
I wanna jam wid you now.
Jammin', jammin' (hope you like jammin' too).
Eh-eh! I hope you like jammin', I hope you like jammin',
'Cause (I wanna jam it wid you). I wanna ... wid you.
I like - I hope you - I hope you like jammin', too.
I wanna jam it;
I wanna jam it."
FWIW, by the way, I'm not a Beatles fan. Some of their experimental stuff, for example, is just plain weird and unpleasant. And their popular stuff has mostly been just a "meh" for me. But I just don't think you can say much about the quality of their lyrics by quoting a handful of chorus lines.

i say there just like every other rock band, some of their stuff is deep some are songs that are catchy to get on the charts
the beatles did have some deep songs though
elenor rigby (i think thats the name of it)
lady madona
hey jude
and a few others, but there not jimi hendrix or pink floyd
jimi:
"we'll hold hands and watch the sunrise from the bottom of the sea"
more jimi:
"castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually"
more jimi:
"White collar conservative flashin down the street
Pointin their plastic finger at me, ha !
Theyre hopin soon my kind will drop and die but uh
Im gonna wave my freak flag"

If you're going to throw the Beetles under the bus, I'll go ahead and toss in Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones as well.
now zeplin you're friggin nuts, one of the greatest drummers, guitarist of all time, sure robert plant isn't the best singer but they had some great stuff
the rolling stones......they should change their name to the kidney stones

For my money it doesn't get any better than when Michael Bolton sings "When a Man Loves a Woman." I celebrate his entire catalog.
