Well, they look good but they don't perform well IMO. Nothing can beat the stock feeling.

By the way, (probably everyone knows) but they had a red Veilside RX-7 and S2K in there! But shiny silver seems to be the best color for an RX-7

 

I'll probably go see FNF again this friday after I watch KOD. Another thing that bothers me about the premise of the movie, is how a trucker in an 18 wheeler going to let three lightweight Civics with no guns do him like that? I would be raming all of them off the road, or else I pull out my shotgun and just put them out of their misery. Come on, all truckers are packing right?

 

Actually, the Apexi GT exhaust is 3.25 - 3.5" tubing (or so), with about a 5" tip. I think it's HKS that makes a new titaium exhaust for the FD that's 4" tubing, and probably a 6" tip...Pretty big...

And to the earlier poster that said a 6" tip does nothing on a 3" pipe, not true. If you have a 3.5" pipe, and a 5" tip, you can make a smooth flow from the pipe to the muffler, so the unimpeded center section of the muffler is still 3.5" and the sound deadening is the outside 1.5" of the diameter. It makes for one very loud exhaust, but it makes a lot of power at high rpms due to the low restriction.

Here's a pic of the Apex GT with the optional silencer installed (which loses you a ton of power). I should have taken it with a CD instead of the gum pack, because it's about the size of a CD...



Why did I buy it? Do I think it looks good? I bought it because it gets me about 35 HP, and adds hp to every other mod I do. I don't think it looks good, but I'm going for performance maximization, not looks. I really wish it wasn't so big, but that's the price of high-rpm power...
