S2000 vs. Nissan's new Z.
I don't think the new Z is going to be that great.
There are a few details I'm waiting for.
1. the new Z's power to weight ratio
2. if new Z has better handles than the S2000
3. the appearance of the production car (it's not going to look like the prototypes you have been seeing in the magazines)...
4. the price (I doubt it will be below $30,000)
It takes a lot to make a great car...we will see when the actual production car makes it out.

The March Road and Track stated that the front grill would be redone, and the car obviously won't have the 20 in. wheels. They also estimated the curb weight to be about 3000 lbs., and my guess is 280 hp. We'll see, but I think it will certainly be a formidable car, but it looks like a copy of the Audi TT.
the hand drawn pic of the convertible looks pretty nice in R&T. They claim it will beat the Boxster S at everything for under $30k.?
280hp and lots of torque w/ 3000lbs is moving!

Hell, you can hardly find a full-boat Maxima for less than 30 large. I seriously doubt that the Z will have an MSRP under or even @ $30K. I also seriously doubt you'll find a dealer who doesn't tack on a significant premium on the Z as well.
