Default "His" S2000 vs. "My" S2000 - is this fair?

Since there are so many guys on this board, I'd like some opinions ...

I have been obsessed with S2000s since they came out. Last year, my husband inherited a lot of money. He started car shopping. I convinced him to look at the S2000. He went and bought it. He lets me drive it but ocassionaly says that I can't because "it's getting too many miles on it" or "you've driven it enough already this weekend". But then he'll drive it all over the place like to Vegas and up north. People that have ridden with both of us say I'm the better driver, so it's not like I'm grinding gears like some lame-o that can't drive a stick shift. I pamper and baby that car like a lot of you on this board, just ordered Zaino to top it off. He knows I love it. I get this stupid grin on my face every time I drive it ...

One more detail, I make more money than he does, and we are not hurting financially to say the least.

What gives????

My opinion of any car is that it does no good sitting in the garage. I might get flamed for this, but even if I had a Maclaren F1 I would drive the crap out of it. It would never just sit in the garage.

Two suggestions

1) Get your own...

2) Tell him, "If I don't get to play with yours, you don't get to play with mine...!"

You each need your own car. My husband always wanted his Ferrari 308 and I wanted the S 2000. Now we both share and play nicely, but your husband sounds like he's being a child. Tell him if he doesn't share you'll go and get another one just for yourself Another thing is to with hold from his favorites thing, like dinner, washed clothing, clean home, and anything else you can think of

Good Luck!

Yah, I thought about getting my own, but I have to keep my 4-door since I tote around the kid and stuff. It's so pointless. I actually think he's jealous because I'm so into it and I think he's embarrassed to be that into it.

No wonder you are cranky, just take the keys and go for a spin. My wife is looking for a 69 GTO so she can have her own cool car.
