Bell's Palsy
I've read that it's not contagious, but the weird thing is that my boss had it (and he's the first person I've ever known to have it) and within 6 months, I had it, too. Seems like a weird coincidence.
However, the night before I started exhibiting symptoms, I recall straining my neck (while sitting at a bar watching basketball, of all things). I didn't go to a doctor or take any medication, but my symptoms went away in less than a week. When my boss had it, I think it took him well over 2 weeks to fully recover.
Like others have mentioned, be sure you keep your eye moist, and try not to rub your eyes. My boss taped his eye shut to keep it moist. Kinda weird, but you do what you gotta do.
