Hole in the wall joints have the best food. Breakfast or Pollo Asada burritos from Roberto's (San Diego, CA) Clam chowder from splash cafe (Pismo Beach, CA).

My all time favorite is Cuban food. Of course, I'm Cuban so I'm used to it but being away from any restaurants that serve it up, makes me long for it.

I cook Cuban food at home, but it's not the same.

Whenever we visit Miami or New York, I have to find a Cuban restaurant and get myself a nice serving of rice with black beans (arroz con frijoles), breaded chicken or steak, yuca and don't ever forget the maduros (sweet plantains).
