good poll.... but so many things to weigh!!!!

it's almost a poll about what is most important as each one of those definitely has their own merits to "the best"

I'm afraid that possibly not enough people have seen the older movies to be able to accurately judge against them.

Wow, someone voted for the F&F! I chose spam because I didn't see the Getaway in Stockholm choice

Ronin is clearly my choice, what a jaw dropper! It had none of that fake stuff too. John Frankenheimer(Sp?) directed it, he's the one who did "Grand Prix" back in the 60's.

How about the "Blues Brothers" especially the part in the Mall.

Bullitt. It's the original. Without it, none of the others would have existed. Besides, no one involved in any of the other chases could hold Steve McQueen's jock.

I saw Ronin... and it would have been my choice.. a couple good scenes.. I like Frankenheimer... but when I saw Bullitt and that Mustang.... I gotta believe that those guys had more skills flyin around the hills of SF in those cars.

But like I said before... I don't think a majority of the people on these/this board have seen Bullitt, nor appreciate Steve McQueen as the huge actor of his time. I almost shudder at the thought of F&F in being listed, but to each their own.

For me it's like this...

1) Bullitt - Steve McQueen Mustang and a Charger going through SF... amazing skills busting through the hills..

2) Ronin - A couple good scenes... the chick bustin on the 5-series... the guy bustin all those moves in the Audi...

3)Days of Thunder - just the thought of taking a couple rental cars out and chalking it all up to insurance is pretty amusing.

4) Matrix Reloaded - More SFX and action than actual driving skills but good nonetheless

5) Gone in 60 Seconds - Mustangs flying through the air? please (btw.... that was supposed to be a Steve McQueen/Bullitt mustang wasn't it)

6) Transporter - for some reason I don't really remember this one... I know he had a 7 series and was workin a MB over...

7) Italian Job - Minis? didn't think there were all that many skill on this one

8) BB/BB2 - I DON'T LIKE BRUCKHEIMER... I think he's lame.. and his scenes are all flash bang and over the top without any substance

9) F&F/2F2F - Can't respect it.. it's not even supposed to be real.

Out of the ones I saw, I'd go with Matrix Reloaded, very long and the visuals were awesome.
