I love the background music in the car chase, especially when Morpheus is jostling with one of the twins in the Cadillac (razor blade, kitana, etc.) - gives me goosebumps.

Ironically, they use the same music (sourced from Matrix reloaded) in the Top Gear video of the TVR T350c, which also happens to be my favorite Top Gear vid yet.

Nah, it was a yellow 70's Mach 1 in the original. Pretty nasty looking car, actually. Complete with dog dish hubcaps. Poetic Justice that they trashed it. By the way, the original GISS was a better car chase movie than the Nick Cage fiasco, but arguably one of the worst films overall of all time.

voted for the original too...
still remember how the s.f. hill jump made my stomach feel the first time i saw it-
several of the others are much better technically, but they should be based on when they were made!

On the DVD commentary to Ronin he mentions how they used a French F1 driver (forget the name) and he would drift that traffic circle in the Audi within a foot of where the director wanted it each time. That camera man had to be a little "trusting" too.

I still remember the sideways drift/corner going downhill... that was nuts... that'd still be nuts in todays cars...

I disagree. The worst movie of al time has got to be The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer.
