I worked in a shop that manufactures pharmaceutical processors and food processing tanks. EVERY pharm. tank weld had to be inspected and the entire tank pressurized to a specific psi. I learned by watching some of the best welders I have ever seen. TIG welding has a much higher learning curve than MIG welding.

Anyhow, after many years of just watching, I eventually tried it and consider myself to be a pretty darn adequate welder.

I frequent weldingweb.com to keep up on new products and techniques on different processes and materials.

I also took a course at local vocational school to learn how to TIG aluminum as well as stick which was something I had never done before.
