Fellow S2kers, today I received a bill from Macy's for $69.99... Under description, it read 800-645-5859 CT Hotline. I don't remember buying anything at Macy's last year and I had long canceled my card. So I called Macy's and they told me I had ordered a credit card and Macy's card protection program which costs $69.99!!! I said to the Macy's operator I never made the order. Operator said fine and asked me to call 800-645-5859. I called there and spoke to a Mr. Eugene Martin. Mr. Martin explained that when I used my Macy's $2.50 coupon last year, it automatically enrolled me on this program. WHAT THE F*CK? Read my lips... Never went to Macy's... Anyway, I told him I'd like to cancel it and he gave me a cancel #. Mr. Martin tells me that they will credit me this amount. And Macy's will come to me for the credit... whatever... Next month I'm going to check and if they bill me that $69.99 + interest, you're going to read in the paper... One mad Chinese dude drives white S2K through Macy's store...

Oh crap. I just deposited that stupid $2.50 Macy's check. I thought it said that for using the card, the $2.50 is my reward that year. Bastards if they enroll me in some program. I hate these tactics. I used to get telemarketers calling me during dinner pressuring to buy stupid stuff on behalf of my credit card company. Finally got fed up and called the CC company and told them to stop with the calls. And it worked.
