OK back to me. The Kodak DC3400 is what I am really leaning towards. Price is about 320 but I gotta get batteries and a charger and a 32 mb card.

I got a question to take pictures at a printable quality like you would with a 35 mm camera(on 5x7)....how many pictures can I expect to get out of the total 32 mb card plus the 8 mb that it comes with. Thinking...ok im going on vacation for a few days or off to a wedding. Given I have 2 sets of batteries enough to take all the pictures.

Thanks.

Try without the 32mb compaq flash card first. I think you'll find the highest resolution largely unnecessary. I keep my DC3400 in standard resolution and the images are perfectly printable (larger than 5x7) you will need to resize in the software for 5x7 printing. Do yourself a favor and download Paint Shop Pro or something similar, because Photo Impressions is the program it comes with and it is only ok at first. You'll want a better program for photo manipulation. On standard resolution, the DC3400 will take around 56 pictures.

The batteries you will want are Nickel Metal Hydrate, Energizer ones are a decent brand and their charger is around $20. You will need four batteries. I keep eight so that I always carry a backup supply.

$320 is an excellent price. When it came out I paid over $500.00. Good luck.
